Court of Appeal Unanimously Finds Against Tūpuna Maunga Authority / Auckland Council

The Court of Appeal has unanimously found in favour of Warwick and Averil Norman’s case against Tūpuna Maunga Authority and Auckland Council. Although the judgement specifically relates to Ōwairaka / Mt Albert it is a test case for all maunga.

We have only just found out and have yet to read through the decision and understand its implications but needless to say we are DELIGHTED.

Also, we do not know whether or not the Authority and Council will appeal the decision. See here for the Court’s full decision.
